A lunch time kick off in Brighton is never top of the list for us supporters, but it was worth the trip and time, to see a solid winning performance. It’s just that once again the ratio of chances created to chances taken was not favourable.

Liam put us ahead, finally, with a sweet finish from James’s free kick deep into the right. There then followed complete dominance for most of the first half, but it was just 2-0 at half time after some lovely control by Joe, through to Lewis who cleverly took the ball round an exposed Brighton keeper to find the back of the net.

Oscar then superbly struck the ball form outside the box, high into the  right-hand corner for 3-0. Conall’s storming run through the middle, a neat 1-2 with Lee and a left footed strike made it 4-0 and the game was well beyond Brighton.

Brighton did look quick and threatening at times up front, but they couldn’t penetrate our defence at all today. We played some lovely passing and moving football, and created chance after chance and there should have been more names on the score sheet.

A  very well deserved MOTM for Conall who had a fantastic game. Solid in defence but also pushing forward and distributing the ball so well.
