Saint Hill Blues 0 Hassocks 8
After even first half Blues concede 6 goals is second half collapse
Despite result the performance was much improved from previous week, but the the team cannot shake off some bad habits! On too many occasions in the second half we failed to pick up runners as we tended to chase the ball and as a result gifted our opponents too much time and space to punish us. George picked up the keepers jersey this week and made some important saves as Hassocks seemed to be able to attack at will in the second half, the collective agreement was that he deserved the man of the match award
The first half was an even and well contested match, the Blues seetling down as the game progressed to play some good football. Although we were two down at half time to breakaway goals there was much to play for, but alas the half time interval once again had a major impact on the team's efforts to match the opposition. Whilst the game was even we had created chances and Patrick, J-P, Ashley and Nick all went close which could have made an impact on the end result. Bottom line is that the game lasts 90 minutes, and we must play hard and concentrate for all of the time, not just in effective 10/15 minute intervals
Onwards to next week!
